Thermal insulation adhesive. Adhesive for indoor and outdoor tiles. Does not contain solvents. After adding Portland cement, it is ready for use.

Type of material

Solvent-free, fiber-reinforced dispersion base filler.

Structure

Water, acrylate-copolymer dispersion, fillers, plasticizers, preservative.

Color

  Sandy colors, gray - after mixing with cement.

Density

  1.6 g / cm3.

Application

metal spatula, trowel.

Properties

The declared properties and guaranteed technical data as an adhesive, reinforcing and modeling compound are achieved only with the addition of CEM I 32.5 Portland cement. The mixing ratio is approximately 1: 1 parts by weight.

Application

  • Bonding EPS boards in the KAIZER thermal insulation joint system on a dry and solid base;
  • Fastening of reinforcing glass fabric to the surface of EPS boards in the KAIZER thermal insulation joint system;
  • Manufacturing of a load-bearing reinforcing layer in KAIZER heat-insulating joint systems;
  • As a modeling filling compound in modular construction for filling, forming structures and introducing reinforcing fabrics;
  • For gluing tiles indoors and on facades.

Technical data

  • Behavior of the ready-made mortar in case of fire: "non-flammable" or "difficult
    flammable ”, in accordance with the design of the KAIZER thermal insulation joint systems.
  • Thermal conductivity: 0.7 W (m * K)
  • Moisture holding coefficient: w <0.5kg (m2 * 1 / 2h) according to DIN 52617

Substrate preparation:

Brick substrates, concrete, or permanently painted substrates must be dry, clean and sound. Dirt and substances that prevent adhesion (sticking), such as oily, as well as protruding parts of the solution must be removed. Damaged, peeling old paint layers and defective plaster must be removed as much as possible. Hollow spaces in the plaster must be broken off and re-plaster. Highly absorbent, sandy or chalky surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned to a sound base and primed with Kaizer Putzgrundharter 1: 4 primer according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Material preparation:

To prepare the base putty "Spachtelbasis" of the Kaizer brand, it is necessary to gradually add Portland cement CEM I 32.5 to a bucket of mortar in portions, avoiding the formation of lumps, maintaining a ratio of 1: 1 by weight, and stir it with a powerful, slowly rotating mixer on throughout the entire time of adding. It is imperative to adhere to the recommended ratio of mortar and cement, because too much cement impairs the strength and elasticity of the finished product. If necessary, adjust the consistency required for application by adding a small amount of adhesive base.

Depending on the weather conditions, the time for use is from 1 to 2 hours. If this time is exceeded, do not add water to the already hardened material. It is no longer usable.

Bonding insulation boards:

Apply the Kaizer brand Spachtelbasis adhesive to the back side of the boards, either by the "edge" method - strips about 5 cm wide, or by the "center" method of the board - 3 lumps the size of a plate. The amount of adhesive to be applied and the height of the layer must be varied depending on the characteristics of the substrate so that at least 40% coverage of the surface with the adhesive contact is achieved. Surface irregularities of +/- 1cm can be smoothed out during the gluing process. When gluing from bottom to top, press the board down with a short blow ("pressing blow") and press down well. Do not allow the adhesive to get into the joints of the boards. Pay attention to the alignment of the axes and verticals when laying.

Reinforcement layer manufacturing:

Sand the existing lugs on the EPS insulation boards and remove sanding dust. After fixing the corner protection profiles to the corner edges and window openings, as well as diagonal reinforcement at the corners, the reinforcing mortar must be applied to the insulating boards every time for the width of the leaf. The reinforcing fabric must be pressed with an overlap of about 10 cm. Spat wet on damp so that the fabric coverage is guaranteed over the entire surface. The total thickness of the finished reinforcing layer should reach 4-5 mm. On corner protection profiles, lay the fabrics around the edge with a minimum overlap of 10 cm. When using protective profiles, lay the fabrics all the way to the edge.

Application temperature:

During application and drying, the substrate temperature should not be less than + 5 ° C. Do not puttying work in direct sunlight or in strong winds.

Drying time:

The required keyed connection can only be made after the bonded surface has sufficiently cured, i.e. in about 1-2 days. Complete drying of the glue and the ability to be exposed to stress occurs in 2-3 days. At 20 ° C 65% relative humidity, the reinforcement layer dries on the surface after 24 hours. The ready-made adhesive and reinforcing mortar, made from Kaizer brand Spachtelbasis and Portland cement, dries due to the hydration of the cement and physically due to the evaporation of the water contained in the basic solution. It should be borne in mind that in the cool season and with high humidity, more drying time is required.

Consumption:

Bonding of thermal insulation boards: approx. 4.0 kg / m2, which corresponds to approx. 2.0 kg / m2 of the original Kaizer brand Spachtelbasis.

Reinforcement layer: about 4.5kg / m2 for EPS boards, about 5.0kg / m2 for mineral fiber boards, which corresponds to about 2.25kg / m2 or 2.5kg / m2 of the original Kaizer brand Spachtelbasis. These consumption figures are indicative and the actual consumption is determined when applied on site. Deviations depending on the type of surface and conditions of use must be taken into account.
